As every year, International Women’s Day 2026 serves as an important reminder of the necessity to ensure that women are represented across all fields, including cybersecurity. At a time when cybersecurity only seems to increase in complexity, with cyberthreats on the rise and emerging technologies, including AI, marking a profound change in how we defend against them, it has become even more crucial to make sure that the industry can benefit from a broad range of perspectives and backgrounds.
In this context, the Cybersecurity Tech Accord aims to play our part in fostering diversity in our industry, and to celebrate women in cybersecurity through a new campaign: “Cyber Guardians: Women Securing our Digital Future”. Throughout March, some of our signatory representatives will tell their stories and share from their experience defending against cyber threats and shaping cyber policy.
Our hope is that when more women see themselves reflected in cybersecurity and learn about the range of opportunities available to them, they will be encouraged to enter the field, or advance further into leadership roles.
More needs to be done to promote cybersecurity careers among women at every level and ensure that the sector becomes more inclusive, and we are remain committed to encouraging and supporting the participation of women in cybersecurity.
